In a building that dates from the 1540s, the Cerbul Carpatin is the most famous restaurant in the city. Now throughly renovated with great taste, it remains the top choice of foreign tourists and coach parties, offering fine Transylvanian food and a bit of an enjoyable program folcloric. Good place to try a variety of Romanian wines: you can order by the glass, and the cellar is well stocked with barrels of vin brought from every wine making region in the country.
