Baneasa Airport to Otopeni & Gara de Nord

To get from Baneasa airport to Gara de Nord, take your chances with a taxi for the fastest results, though note that the taxis which hang around outside Baneasa are notorious. Call an honest cab (Meridian tel. 021 9444 or Cris Taxi tel. 021 9461) for best results, but do not be surprised if you have to wait a while.

Indeed, if you are in a hurry the best and easily the cheapest way could well be the bus: opposite the airport is the bus stop for routes 780, 131 and 335. Bus 780 runs driect to Dara de Nord, while 131 will take you in around ten minutes to Piata Victoriei, from where Gara de Nord is just one metro stop away. 

To get from Baneasa to Otopeni, a taxi is the best and easily the quickest way, but again, you will need to watch what kind of taxi you get in to. Busses 780 and 783 do the trip in around 20 minutes.
