The other half of the Dubliner. The idea is more or less the same: good food, drinks, service and a friendly crowd, though with less of an emphasis on live British sport (as such it is more popular with locals than expats, who head for the Dubliner). A cavernous place, with two levels, it’s quaintly decorated with framed old newspaper front pages and pictures, as well as great wallpaper. It thus somehow avoids the soulless synthetic feel of many Oirish pubs abroad. Faultless chicken and mushroom pies.

Great place to be. All I can say is Multumesc Andreea and Catalina for making the Harp a place to come back to again.
@Howard Phillips of Reading: Next time you're in Bucharest, I suggest you should get out more.
When I first visited Bucharest 2 years ago this was the second bar I visited, and in the dozen or so times that I have visited since I have never gone anywhere else. In the UK I am very much prefer drinking in a pub rather than a bar. Maybe this is an age thing, but the days of bright lights and loud music being part of an enjoyable night out are long since past! The Harp itself has a truly nice feeling to it. The atmosphere is relaxed and sociable any time of the day or night. One very important thing to add is that the staff are exceptional. Always polite irrespective of how busy it is (comparing this to my local here where I had the barmaid say outloud "Pensioners. I hate F***ing pensioners"!). Adding to all of this the fact that they have "Sky Sports" so the Saturday afternoon ritual need not be sacrificed! Prices are reasonable, staff great and the atmosphere friendly. Why should I go anywhere else............?
