If you want a local, unpretentious, up-for-a-laugh studenty crowd getting down to classic songs that you won’t have heard for ages, this is the one place in town you can be guaranteed to find it, every night of the week. Live music on most weekend nights, as well as all sorts of events during the week, from theme nights to theatre.

one of the best clubs in bucharest i had the pleasure to visit on many a drunken night out. found it hard to get into at times as they told us you had to be a architect. got false cards made up at the time to get us in as student architects. many a good night drinking with the irish nurses and student romanians. never really remember leaving this place. maybe i'm still there to this day

Taken at face value Club A has a lot going for it. Cheap cover, cheap drinks, free coat check, a bar staff that is always on the ball, and a fun playlist of songs that really goes against the Euro-clubbing grain (Nickelback?) Stay a while, though, and you'll begin to notice just how unapproachable the club patrons are. Our little party felt alone and out of place in a club filled with people utterly insulated in their own groups. Isolated? Try entombed.The lop-sided guy to girl ratio does nothing to help the cause. Ladies on the dance floor were hounded relentlessly by groups of spikey-haired Eurotools that absolutely would not take a hint. Expect the wagons to be circled long before you arrive.We just couldn't get in to it. Maybe you'll have better luck.
