Since 1994 it's been the same story: good but not extraordinary Italian food and a swish, bright interior; both make Aquarium worth a visit. It can be a little showy, with high-powered individuals often choosing to hold court here, but that shouldn't put you off what now has to be classed as a Bucharest legend. Rather expensive.
