Luxuriously decorated place on Herastrau lake, where glass and wood have been combined at great expense to create one of the most sumptuous dining rooms in the city. Yet the good news ends there. For the food, despite the laughable descriptions on the menu - is nothing more than standard trattoria fare (the pasta is bought, for example) and the service can be atrocious. Leave this one for the fitze crowd to enjoy alone.

Avoid! We were totally stitched up on the bill here. The waiter recommended a shared platter of fish carpaccio for a starter. We agreed, and it was very nice, if not terribly filling. I noticed several other tables also had the same starter. However, when the bill came, the starter was 81.5 RON a head! Considering that the most expensive main course we ordered was swordfish at 57 RON, 81.5 RON for a bit of raw fish was a total rip-off. I know, we should have asked for the price before ordering, but if it had been anywhere in the region of the other starter prices it would have been acceptable.I shall never eat here again. - 17

The terrace is open and it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the sun and the view. The food was outstanding as well. Sadly, I will never return to Isoletta. The service was the worst I have ever experienced in Romania...and that was after we very politely approached both the manager and the wait staff requesting service.
