Corruption

Has membership of the EU brought corruption in Romania to a halt? Has it hell. There seems to be simply no hope in sight. Informed opinion (such as The Economist) lists Romania as one of the most corrupt nations on earth, with the entire fabric of public, municipal and political life being supported by bribes. The lack of ethics by these groups and, above all, the tacit acceptance of the population that these practices are normal speak volumes. It is sad.
