For many years the monolithic Alpin was Poiana Brasov. It now looks dated - despite some renovation - though the rooms are spacious and include cable TV, mini-bar, and amazing views of the resort. Bradul
Next to the Sport hotel (which it is in effect a smaller version of) the Bradul had an almost total refit this summer and now looks better than ever. House of Dracula
Looking every inch like the kind of place Dracula would have called home (had he lived in 2009), this place is in a quite part of Poiana Brasov, almost hidden amongst the trees north of the main part of the resort, and is a great place to get away from it all. It's no wonder it is a hit with companies who use it for retreats. Rooms are big, and there are four different types - all with ensuites, free internet and the like - to choose from. There are three restaurants in the hotel, a spa center and a fitness room.

Sport
You could be anywhere in the world here. The place has a new-but-trying-to-look-traditional feel to it, and just about manages to get away with it. Rooms are all are well decorated, clean and warm. Prices include breakfast. The Sport has a great apres-ski bar complete with fireplace. [...]
