Domodedovo Airport
www.domodedovo.ru is the flagship of Moscow's new modern airports. It is located in the south east and is accessible by public transport buses, marshrutkas (fixed route mini-vans) and the aero-express train. While not the size of Heathrow by any means, this is a modern airport; they even have xray scanners to see if you are concealing weaponry or knitting needles on your person.
Tickets for the Aeroexpress train (320Rbl one way) can be bought at the cash desk or via the ticket machines, near the exit to the trains. Trains are not new and glamorous. From Paveletsky railway station, follow the signs to metro Paveletskaya (brown Circle line) and it is only 10 minutes by metro to reach the city centre. The first train leaves from Domodedovo at 07:00 and the last one at 00:00.
Buses and trains head towards Paveletsky Station and the adjacent Paveletskaya metro station, located smack bang on the circle line.
Taxis head to the center and usually (depending on traffic) run into traffic jams and cost around 2200Rbl. On a good day, the ride will take around one hour. The bright
blue Scania buses depart more frequently than the Aeroexpress train, and leave every 15 minutes, cost 80Rbl. The buses head to Domodedovskaya metro station (green line 2).
