Dedicated to the great English playwright, Shakespeare’s oddly enough has chosen Scottish tartan wallpaper for the walls, although to be fair it is covered in paintings of scenes and characters from the Bard’s greatest works. Other standard pub features include football on plasma screens, a darts board and cigarette smoke (although there’s also a no smoking section). Lacking the busy atmosphere of the real deal, Shakespeare’s does to its credit at least have a decent whisky selection and some good ales and stouts on tap.
