If there is such a thing as an expat legend, this is it. Silvers has almost been in Moscow longer than modern capitalism and looks it. When it comes to sports, Irish and British fans have the upper hand as the pub's two screens are mostly broadcast these British and Irish football, rugby and cricket games. The bar is smallish, pocket sized even, but filled to the brim on any given evening with drinkers and their accompanying cigarette smoke. The low prices, endless sport and authentic feel attract people from all walks of life, especially those pining for the dingy comfort of the local back home.

Very average pub bottom 10 of the last 100 Irish English pubs I've visited. If your idea of an Irish pub is pokey and smokey this is possibly for you. If however you like fun and more space go to Johnny Green's Irish pub on Prospekt Mira opposite the Alekseevskaya metro station (not on here yet). If this Moscow's best Irish Pub (as I'm told it is) then I'm the Last King of Scotland.
I loved Silvers - Sascha the doorman was very good at organising "transport" to nightclubs etc. The Guinness was excellent and the girls behind the bar were great fun - could even get a decent irish fry up!
