Generally speaking British/Irish pubs in Moscow do have higher prices than your average bar and Union Jack’s is definitely in the top price tier. All the beers on the list do cater to specific tastes however – here it’s real ale or real ale, or perhaps a turbo ale with gin in it. Popular on match days this one room pub fills up in the evenings with a largely football mad crowd and at lunch times for business lunch. Warm and smoky with a meat dominated menu, Union Jack’s caters to the ‘real man’.

Decent enough pub and a very nice welcome from a very nice waitress. Beer was good too - I had London Pride (no Guinness though). I just object to having to sit on wooden seats in the year 2011 - in this pub there is simply no choice. Unfortunately it was almost empty when I was there but I could imagine it fills up quite often. I suppose Kuznetsky Most is the nearest metro station but it was quite a walk. Decent as I say but Bobby Dazzler or John Bull are better.
