Tired of bland Russian cheese? Then come and pray at the throne of the curiously named Cheese Hole, where literally everything on the menu comes with some kind of flavoursome French or Swiss cheese. The small list of French dishes are all well executed but the real highlight of the place is the fondue for two. A rarity for Moscow, smokers and non-smokers are actually well separated, meaning those who don't like tobacco can enjoy the very distinct fromage aromas. Also at Pokrovsky bulvar 6/20.

I was so excited about this place and was incredibly disappointed. I've been in Moscow for a while so have adjusted my standards accordingly but the service was the worst I've come across yet. Waitress was positively rude. Wines were overpriced and fondue was good but not worth the attitude. Also a suprisingly lack of atmosphere for a Saturday night in Moscow. Would not recommend.
