The opening of this terrace depends on religious holidays and can get very busy so it is well worth checking on availability in advance. If you do manage to get up here though, you will be happy you persevered. Good, meaty kosher cuisine from the Caucuses is served up on the roof terrace of the synagogue and the views over the old centre of Moscow are a treat. It's also a great place for coffee and drinks far from the madding crowd.
