Also known as 100 violins because the instrumental make-up is 85% strings (with 60 violins and nine violas) with the remaining 15% made up of clarinets and cimbaloms – it’s as chaotic and energetic as you can imagine. The orchestra particularly enjoys playing the works of Tchaikovsky, Brahms and John Strauss in addition to their repertoire of traditional Slavic folk tunes. For their Russian audience the orchestra promises to perform some traditional Russian melodies as well as their native Hungarian.
