Organised by hip lifestyle magazine Afisha, the Picnic Festival is often touted as Moscow’s premier alternative outdoor music event. A family friendly atmosphere is created with a strict no alcohol rule, while the lush surrounds of the historic Kolomenskoye park compliment the festival’s chilled out vibe. This year Afisha is bringing the Icelandic legend Bjork to Moscow who will be performing her new Biophilia show. Scottish indie-rockers Franz Ferdinand are also confirmed to play amongst many others.
