Run by students and overrun by student customers, the most interesting thing about this chain of mediocre beer bars is how they managed to so many places all over the city practically simultaneously. More beer cafe than beer bar, there is an overwhelming sense of brown in terms of decoration, atmosphere and character. Their food is awful and they serve ten different types of beer on tap, of which their own branded Spb beer is in reality Arsenalnoe on tap, favoured by bums and hooligans the city over.

  I went here and had the borscht and Vasileostrovskaya dark beer. It was delicious and I loved the environment.

  Of course, for an American person this bar would be a poor choise for food. but for any Russian person this place is very nice and trendy. The food is so so, but the little apetizers for beer are awesome and traditional. As it comes to beer, if you say it's bad, you don't know beer obviously. Definitely can't compare it to such things as Budweiser or Miller lite. That was not beer.
