The festival’s ethos is to restore the musical and cultural traditions of the Russian palaces. St. Petersburg’s own violinist Maria Safarjants is directing the festival and has selected hundreds of master musicians from all over the world including the National Orchestra of Spain, Polish pianist Krzysztof Jablonski, & the Italian master-conductor Guiseppe Sabbatini to name just a few. The opening night will see world renowned Luciano D'Intino give an operatic performance and watch out for commemorations of Chopin’s 200th anniversary. This year as part of their 300th anniversary celebrations the Alexander palace in Pushkin will also take part. Prepare to be overwhelmed with grandeur.
