May 15 is international museums day and St. Petersburg will celebrate with a long night of open museums. More than 50 museums will take part this year and will be offering special programmes and tours from 18:00 until 23:00, 32 museums will be opened until 06:00. Popular museums taking part include the Anna Akhmatova museum, St. Isaacs Cathedral, the Museum of Political History, the Dostoevsky museum, the Suvorov museum and many many others. Local avant garde arts centres Pushkinskaya 10 and the Loft Project Etagi will be staying open right into the morning and will add some live music to the cultural mix. An entrance ticket 250Rbl (children under 7 - free) for the art night is valid for up to 50 museums.
