This is a lovely, informative museum that gives a good idea of Dostoevsky the man. The little film at the end of the exhibit is especially interesting. Personal factoids about the author are detailed in an animated film, even showing things about how he tended to sit this slightly twisted manner, how he was sympathetic toward the stray dogs that roamed the city, etc. Some of his items of clothing are still there, as I recall. Also there is a lot of information about places in STP that he portrayed in his works. For instance, the apartment where Raskolnikov lived is detailed. Definitely worth the visit. I can't recall just how much was in English, only that there were some English captions and guides around the museum.
