This building bears a blue and white stencilled warning which reads: ‘Citizens: during artillery bombing this side of the street is most dangerous.’ There are similar plaques around the city, like one on the Anichkov Bridge which says that this missing piece of granite is one of many  scars left behind from shelling that took place during Siege of Leningrad.
