Novgorod Veche or Novgorod Evenings is a night of medieval recreation which aims to bring history to life. The evening of medieval nostalgia culminates in a musical theatre performance telling the stories of three great heroes from ancient Rus - the first Tsar Rurik, the medieval warrior Alexander Nevsky and the heroic knights immortalised in many Russian fairytales, the Bogatirs. For the evening the Kremlin will be taken over by a medieval market where you can buy or make traditional crafts, hear ancient music, try medieval cookery and take part in ancient slavic games.
The Veche will be held on the evening  of 10.06.12, 14.07.12, 18.08.12
