If you believe as we do that too many Dutch bars cater to a younger crowd, then head down to 't Root. A steady clientele of over-40s fill this place to capacity on most evenings and its limited opening hours ensure that they hit the sack at a decent hour. The friendly new owner Jolanda has also managed to transform this dark space into an inviting café and bar that offers plenty of interesting beers as well as some excellent wines. The name, however, is a remnant of the former café that that opened its doors here decades ago.
