Smoking
Most Belgraders consider coffee and cigarettes a perfect way to start the day, so non-smokers may be in for something of a shock. While in theory the city has recently begun enforcing a smoking ban similar to those in many EU countries, in practice it will likely be sometime before a majority of restaurants, bars and clubs are actually smoke-free. However, the smoking ban is more or less respected in public premises (ie banks, post offices, hospitals, etc).
