St. Mark’s Church

St. Mark’s Church
Constructed between 1931 and 1940 in Serbo-Byzantine style, next to an old church from 1835, which was swept away in 1941 bombing. The decoration of the church interior was abandoned due to the war, and it has been left unfinished. The church houses some of the most valuable Serbian icons and a sarcophagus with the remains of Serbian Emperor Stefan Dušan.
