Nikola Tesla (1856–1943), a Serbian inventor, scientist and electrical engineer, who made revolutionary contributions to the discipline of electricity and magnetism. He is the inventor of the AC current, the three-phase system of power transmission, induction motor, high-frequency power generators and transformers, pioneer of MRI, robotics, wireless communications and remote control technologies. In 1943, the Supreme Court of the United States credited him as being the inventor of the radio. The unit for measuring magnetic field was named tesla in his honour. The museum houses his personal legacy, scientific papers and the urn with his ashes. Demonstrations of his experiments are available for pre-registered group visits.
