Other than perhaps the beaches, there's no other more must-see attraction on the Gold Coast than the Q1 SkyPoint Observation Deck, and observation deck as well as café and bar located 230m above the city on the 77th and 78th floors of the Q1, which is not only the tallest building in both Australia and the entire Southern Hemisphere, but also the seventh tallest residential building in the world (previously holding the title of tallest in that category to until 2011). A super fast elevator whisks visitors to the SkyPoint in only 43 seconds, where it's pretty much impossible not to be amazed with the 360° views that stretch all the way from Brisbane to Byron Bay. Tickets come in three types: General Admission, Day & Night (good for one admission during the day and one at night, not necessarily on the same date) and 360Club Membership, which is a great value at only $35 for unlimited admission for 12 months. For adrenaline junkies interested in doing the outdoor SkyPoint Climb to a height of 270m up the Q1's spire, an additional ticket and a short safety briefing is required. What's more, as SkyPoint is operated by the same folks who run Dreamworld and WhiteWater World (ie Ardent Leisure), there are combined tickets that include all of the attractions. Note that last admission is 30 minutes prior to closing, and when it's also open till late on Friday and Saturday nights, it's 18 and over only after 20:00.
