Were are you from? And how long have you been living in Ljubljana?
I'm from Moldova, and have been living in Ljubljana for the past six months.
 
What made you decide to come to Slovenia?
I decided to come to Slovenia for the job opportunities, which are a lot better than back home in Moldova.
 
Did you know much about Slovenia before you moved here?
No, I didn't know anything about it.
 
Had you ever lived abroad before moving to Slovenia?
No, never. I had only lived in Moldova.
 
What are the biggest differences between living in Moldova and living in Slovenia?
The first thing that comes to mind is safety - living in Slovenia is much safer than living in Moldova. And also quality of life, it's much easier to live here in Slovenia.
 
What are your favourite restaurants, cafés, bars and club in Ljubljana?
I'm actually not a very good person to ask, because I don't really go out much.
 
Is there anything you miss about living in Moldova?
What I miss the most is my family - my mother, father and sister.
 
Have you seen much of Slovenia outside of Ljubljana? What are your favourite places, sights?
Yes, I've been to the coast (Izola, Koper, Piran and Portorož), Maribor, Celje and a couple other places.  The coast is my favourite.
 
What do you do during the day? How do you like to spend your free time and your days off?
Mostly I just take walks around the city centre and old town, and when I have days off I like to go to Izola with my friends.
 
How do you stay so fit? Do you go to fitness or play any sports?
Ha! I actually don't do much of anything.
 
Did you dance in Moldova before coming to Slovenia?
No, this was my first time, so I had to practice quite a bit when I first started.
 
Does your family know what you do?
Yes, everyone knows everything.
 
Do you have a boyfriend? If so, does he get jealous about your line of work?
No, I don't. I'm still waiting for my prince on a white horse.
 
Were you ever nervous when you first started dancing?
Yes, very much. But by the end of the night I was having a lot of fun.
 
What's your favourite song to dance to? Do all of the girls have their own theme songs?
I don't have a particular favourite song, but in general I like songs with power and energy.
 
Are most of your customers Slovenes or foreigners? Who are the best tippers?
Most of the customers are Slovene, and in general they're good tippers.
 
Do you have any regular customers?
Yes, a few.
 
What's the strangest thing that's happened to you since you've been at Latino?
Accept for the occasional invitation to meet customers outside a club, nothing really strange happens.
 
Would you recommend your job to others? And if so, do you have any tips for future dancers?
Yes, I would. And my advice would be to always have a good pair of shoes, ha ha!
 
How long do you intend to stay in Slovenia?
At least another two years or so.
 
What do you see yourself doing five years from now? Ten?
I see myself back home in Moldova with a family of my own.
