Quirky names for hostels are pretty customary in Europe; this one - the ‘by father’ hostel was named such due to it’s handing down through generations. The current hosts are very friendly and personally organise tours and activities. The warm and homely building has a well equipped community kitchen, shared bathroom and separate toilet. There are 3 dormitory type rooms with a total of 16 beds, apparently very popular in the ski season. Situated in the picturesque 14th Century village of Podkoren, a 20 minute walk from Kranjska Gora. From €15 – 22.
