Lake Bled Nominated For New 7 Wonders

Lake Bled is among the nominees vying to become one of the 7 new natural wonders of the world, which are to be announced by the Swiss not-for-profit organisation New Open World Corporation (NOWC) in 2011. Having announced the selection procedure a year and a half ago, the NOWC has since put together a short list of 261 nominees.

Lake Bled is nominated in the European Lakes category, with seven other locations competing for the title, including Plitvice, Croatia, Lake Ohrid, Macedonia, Lake Balaton, Hungary, and the most famed of them all, Loch Ness, Scotland.
