Belvedere Pavilion

Belvedere Pavilion
Located in the elegant park of Vila Bled, Belvedere Pavilion functions as a café and patisserie in the warmer months of the year. Views of lake Bled and its quaint island are among the best, as such the position was chosen in the inter-war period by Yugoslav King Alexander. Design was delegated to top Slovene architect Jože Plečnik and the grand structure, on thirty metre pillars, was eventually completed (by then Yugoslav President Tito was in power and he went on to entertain many elite international guests here). Courtesy of its rich history and architectural heritage, Belvedere is very popular for wedding receptions and celebrations.
