Restavracija Zoisov Grad

The decor is decidedly dated, at least in the bar at the front, but that doesn't deter the locals. Epitomising Bohinj itself, mass tourism is absent, or at least discreet, and you need to look beyond your nose to find it - about 200m down a sleepy lane in Bohinjska Bistrica. Come here if you're looking for a broad range of international (well at least European) food, including pizza. Also good for a cheeky beer in a friendly pub atmosphere with sport on the TV.

A two minute walk off the main street in Bohinjska Bistrica brings you to Zoisov Grad Pizzeria. A backdrop of mountains, the sound of the river running by, a glass of wine and a pizza cooked in a traditional oven makes for a pretty good evening out. The building itself has a 450 year old history and the bar and restaurant walls are adorned with fascinating photograghs and objects. The staff are friendly and informative with regards to the Bohinj region and the food was great.
