Waterfall Savica

Your time spent in Bohinj would not be complete without a day trip to one of Slovenia’s greatest waterfalls, also known as the ‘Slap Savica’. You can reach the waterfall by a one hour walk up a thickly forested slope, permitting it’s a fine day. The waterfall itself drops a towering 78 metres into a large water sink, which is located 500 metres above ground level. It is often written about by well known Slovenian poets and writers. A small entrance fee is required to see the sight.
