Aside from private apartments, the Marina is pretty much your only option if you want to stay right in the centre of the old town, luckily it's also one of the best. Perched right above the fishing port, it's perfectly situated to soak up all of Izola's rich history. The rooms are not huge but they're all incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, and about half have balconies with sea views - although they come at a significant premium.
