Several weeks ago we began noticing people carrying around boxes of fries (or chips as we would say) in the city centre, and it turns out that this place is the culprit. Opened in November, we're still not sure where the 'surf' part of the name comes in (as seafood is not on the menu), but they do offer heaping portions of fries prepare in a variety of ways and accompanied by a selection of sauces, as well as some deep fried chicken dishes to satisfy the non-vegetarians. If you're feeling especially adventurous, try the house speciality chocolate covered fries - apparently the first in the world.
