[closed] Galeria Kinski (Sopocka Wytwórnia Filmowa)
For those unfamiliar with Klaus Kinski (1926-1991), he’s a deceased German actor known as much for his hard-living lifestyle as for his one hundred plus films. He was born upstairs, and these days his childhood home is one of Sopot’s most curious bars. Done out in lurid crimson, features include spooky pictures of the man himself, a jumble sale collection of cinematic tat, an eerie black toilet and U2 (Kinski's favourite band apparently) tracks and videos of their concerts playing in the background. This is one of the longest-standing bars in the town though the revelations by Kinski’s elder daughter Pola that Kinski abused her during childhood have seen us less inclined to visit of late.
