Butterfly Lounge

When we first checked this place out we got the distinct feeling that this lounge was geared primarily towards the ladies. Perhaps it was the pink-shirted waiters, overall butterfly motif, and more cocktails than you can shake a stick at that made us feel this way - but it's actually a great time, and if you want to spend the evening hanging out with a harem of beautiful birds or classy lads, this just might be the perfect place. Their top-notch service, great, DJ-spun 'chunes' and tasty appetiser menu are just a few more reasons to 'fly' over to Butterfly.

Disagree! I have been there twice already and the service has been better than anywhere else in the town. I was also there on Friday and the place was packed!

Was in butterfly last Friday for the first time. Nothing new under the sun. They lack a bit of a concept, the decoration is tasteless and cheap (it looks as if they ran out of money half way through the building process). I can see how they want to be "the next Kaheksa", but they are nowhere near. The service was VERY slow (and the place was not packed). I had to wait for 20 minutes for my drink. They had the kitchen open (well pass midnight) but the 2 cooks had nothing to do (just an idea, perhaps they could have helped serving drinks). Our cocktails were really nothing special. Prices were slightly above average (not cheap), and cocktails were not that generous. The fact that the location is very central and that club Venus is across the street could actually save them. Otherwise I'm not sure if they'll make it to next summer...
