Built for the Olympics in 1980, this event centre and port is a perfect example of a much-criticised Soviet building practice - overuse of concrete. The hall can best be described as a cross between a parking garage and a somewhat flattened Mayan pyramid. Linnahall is easy to visit by foot since it’s so close to the centre. The structure was also used as a location in the recently released "Tenet" film by Christopher Nolan. The inside is currently closed for the public, however, it's still worth exploring the exterior, and has a great view to much of the city and the port area. We suggest you hurry though, it’s due to have a complete renovation in the near future.
