Liivi Museum

  Rupsi village, Alatskivi      +372 745 38 46     06 Feb 2024
On the left side of the road about 3km before you get to Alatskivi, you'll find what looks like an idyllic, little farm with green grass and fences. This is actually a museum dedicated to the lives of writers Juhan and Jakob Liiv, who lived here on the Oja farm. The museum will tell you everything you want to know about their lives and works, but more than that, there are exhibits in the barn which provide a glimpse into 19th-century peasant life in the area. This is one of the most peaceful stopping places you'll find anywhere.
