Exhibition of Short-listed PinchukArtCentre Prize Nominees

PinchukArtCentre is pleased to present an exhibition of work by the 20 nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize.
The nominees for the prize are young Ukrainian contemporary artists (35 years-old and younger) who were short-listed from a total of 1100 applicants.
The exhibition will be held on the 3rd and 4th floors of the art centre and present works up for the prize and new pieces created by the nominated artists specifically for the exhibition. Olexander Soloviov will curate the show.
On 1st and 2nd floors of the centre located Red Forest exhibition, which showcases more than 40 selected works by seven seminal Ukrainian artists of 1990s: Serhiy Bratkov, Olexander Gnylytsky, Olexander Roitburd, Arsen Savadov and Georgy Senchenko, Vasyl Tsagolov, Illia Chichkan. Red Forest is about ten square kilometers of trees adjacent to the Chernobyl nuclear station, which received the largest part of the release of radioactive dust at the time of the reactor’s explosion in 1986.
