Very clean pool. Had no problems getting in. You dont need schwimming cap or a doctors certificate to be fit enough for swimming. Oh yes...the price is now uha 70 for 45min but then I stayed for ond hour and nobody said anything. Was quite quiet when I went at 7.30pm

The Olymp swimming pool is located in downtown Kiev near the Respublikansky Metro station in a white building away from the street behind a guard house. The employees do not seem to speak English so I will first explain the entry process. The entry fee of UAH 60 is payable at the cashier’s desk in the lobby. The cashier will give you a key on a metal keychain and a token with the same number on them. The key is for the locker with the same number in the change room. The token is for the lifeguard at the pool. You leave it on a table in the pool area where the lifeguard sits, presumably so they know who is swimming. They did not restrict the length of time of my swim. However, they did not admit me one day when I arrived around 8 pm.If you are wearing a coat, you are expected to leave it in the cloak room in the lobby. The change rooms are one floor above the entrance. You must remove your shoes at the landing between the two floors. Outside shoes may not be worn in the change rooms. The change room itself contains half-length lockers, chairs, mirrors and blow dryers. You must use the lock and key provided. The shower is simple but clean. No soap or shampoo is provided. Flip-flops or shower shoes may be worn. I don’t know whether or not towels may be rented.Despite its name, the pool is 25 meters in length. The entire pool is covered with large slippery tiles. The deck is quite a bit higher than the water level, which makes it difficult to turn at the wall if you don’t know how to do kick turns. The pool and the water were clean. The pool has six lanes that are wide enough for two-way traffic. It wasn’t too busy over a recent noon hour. Most people were swimming slow laps. Flutter boards are available but pull-buoys are not. All in all, a decent pool if a bit overpriced.
