Bratislava follows the common Kyiv habit of offering two kinds of rooms - one nice, one not so nice - at totally different prices. The newly renovated rooms offer colourful modern décor (some of it a bit garish, it should be said) and plenty of amenities… while the comparatively dull Soviet-era rooms offer only the basics, with very basic bathrooms to match.
