When I mentioned this place to a German acquaintance, a small tear welled up in the corner of his eye. “I miss my Mutter’s schnitzel,” he explained. I took this to be a wonderful compliment and went to try for myself. This is a no-brainer for pork/beer lovers - schnitzel, bratwurst, schweinshaxe (pork knuckles in a crusty skin), lagers and ales. Though this may or may not be the best place for homesick German boys, it’s definitely a top pick for the rest of us.
