Celentano

Power to the people! This expanding pizzeria chain champions democracy by granting patrons the choice of their own favourite toppings from a wide range of possibilities. Various salads and French crêpes with different fillings are also on offer, all to a pleasant background of Italian music.

The pizza is not bad at all and is more along the lines of American pizza with a thicker breadier crust than Italian pizza. It's baked in a brick oven and comes in two basic sizes (individual or for two). I really like the fact that you start with a basic pizza crust with sauce and cheese and can add your own ingredients which range from fresh mushrooms to pineapple to pepperoni - nothing really out-of-the-ordinary and trendy such as bleu cheese or walnuts - but good basic pizza. There are also several decent beers on tap including local and imported. There are several locations. We enjoy the location at 26 Pavlivska because of its outdoor seating. Ask for the discount card!
