Ukrainian House (former Museum of Lenin)

Khreschatyk 2     more than a year ago
In April 1982 the imposing building on European Square was completed. It was designed specifically to house a museum dedicated to Lenin. In 1992 the museum was renamed ‘Ukraine House’. All the old exhibits of the former Museum of Lenin are stored in one of the buildings in the Expocentre. Now the venue hosts temporary fairs and exhibitions including commercial trade fairs. The building features some of the most unique Soviet stained glass in the whole of the former Soviet Union, and is one of the best examples in Kyiv of the futurist style of Soviet architecture.
