Love this hostel! Agree, it has a very cozy, "apartmentish" style to it, which is actually a huge advantage, cause it adds to a sort of serene atmosphere. I personally loved my morning coffee on the balcony coming onto Rynok Square. We stayed with a group of 8 friends (some from the states and some from Kiev) and the owners organized us trips around the city and to some fantastic cathedrals in the neighboring area. Btw, still traveling Ukraine and Lviv tops the rating so far :)
