Saint Preobrazhensky’s Cathedral (Sobor)
This is the largest of Odesa’s Orthodox cathedrals. Established as a small house of worship in 1808, by the beginning of the 20th Century it had expanded into one of the Russian Empire’s grandest Russian Orthodox cathedrals.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Cathedral (Kirche)
The brainchild of Italian architect Francesco Boffo, St. Paul’s was originally constructed in 1824. By the 1890s, the congregation had outgrown the building, and an expansion project was commissioned.
