The collection-apartment of the famous Croatian architect Viktor Kovačić (1874-1924) clearly exemplifies the housing culture of the early 20th century and reflects the spirit of the time. It is one of few such rarities preserved in its original form. The apartment and its inventory were donated to the City of Zagreb in 1953 and the Zagreb City Museum took over the management of the collection in 1980, which was redesigned and opened to the public in 1994.
