Konspira

  Pl. Solny 11 ,   Old Town          (+48) 796 32 66 00     05 Jan 2024
Recreating the 1980s with Soviet newspapers, political cartoons, posters, and other era imagery while Polish 'hits' play from the speakers, Konspira calls itself a 'Centre for Historical Education' illuminating Wrocław's role in the Solidarity movement. With some English-language info it could do a better job at that, but as a restaurant it does a fine job of dishing out enormous portions of tasty local grub. The killer location includes a huge garden full of gorgeous trees(!) and a historical exhibit (Polish only unfortunately). Make sure you don't miss the 'hidden room' - walk through a wardrobe to discover a clever recreation of what a Polish apartment might have looked like in the mid-80s. Completely unique and worth checking out.
