Marianne Fassler's design style is bold, eclectic and electric, using vibrant colours and African-inspired motifs. Long before Europe's top design houses 'discovered' African prints, Fassler embraced an aesthetic that is distinctly chic, urban and African.

One of South Africa's most original and enduring fashion designers, Fassler is also a Joburg personality, whom you might easily spot at gallery openings and artist walkabouts across the city, sporting her signature red dreadlocks and inimitable streetwear style. Many have likened her design process to something closer to the process of creating artworks than fashion design.

Visiting Leopard Frock, her studio and showroom in suburban Saxonwold, is an immersive experience. It's a dress-up space filled with rich colour and detail, and a place where you will be offered the opportunity to view Fassler's design archive.
